Music time! Late Weekend update.

Working on the soundtrack for Issue 6 now!

Nice to be back in the studio again!
Once that's done it's on to photography and film.
Then back into layout to finish all the little fiddly bits and on to the cover!
I'm always loathe to slap a date on it but summertime is definately looking good for a release date.

Sorry about the lack of new releases so far this year, lots happening in the first of the year.

Work had a few "glitches" to iron out in the first quarter.

The transistion to print copies on Drive Thru RPG did not got as well as planned (get your print copy at Lulu here) That ate up a lot of the first of the year.

That led to working on the Lair Core Rules rerelease, which led to a rewrite of all the rules and background information and grew into a whole thing of it's own. It's creeping along as well but will likely be next year minimum before it see's light of day.

And so on...

So lot's happening just not alot of "releases".

But Sorceress is winding down and Brytax is winding up.

Brytax is going to be a more "traditional" release.

It will include a "wilderness" map of the area between the heroes and Brytax.
It will also include a Campaign like story with a few Main adventures weaving through the story and many optional encounters along the way. The heroes are free to continue with the main story if they wish or leave it at any point along the way.

Also to be in this issue will be the extended Veteran Point rules. They're useful for so much more than just buying skills!

So rock on my Bloodreavers! more coming soon!

Kartharkan Minis draw ever closer....Injection Molder super progress

Yep I've been in this same place before, but this time...It's really going to work.

Since Ive finally broken down and started using the family workshop, I'm finding all sorts of things in there. So progress on the injection molder is actually,..progressing.

Popped in today and have finished the heating chamber and the injection shaft, even got to use the milling attachments today to finish that one off instead of spending a weekend filing the thing.

Along with the nozzle and the shaft support already done that means I'm done the machining stage! Since all the machining was the stuff I've never done before it was the big questions mark hanging over the project, well success on that front.

Now just have to build a new body for the beast. All steel this time, why not?
With access to the drill press and the cutter/grinder this should move along pretty quick. I've already built three of these before, they're the easy part.

Still only get a few hours each week to work on it though so it will still be awhile till complete.

Wish me luck!

Also on the book front...

I've got all the separate issues uploaded to Drive Thru RPG, the compilation pdf will be coming down once they are all approved for sale.

I'm also waiting on file conversion over at Lulu.com to try to get a print version of the Compilation working over there. Better for the international customers anyway.

Hard copy versions of the first 5 issues are still available for order here until  can get Lulu or Drive Thru Sorted out.for print copies.

On that note a few of you were good enough to donate a few bucks for the pay what you want downloads, thanks much guys! Now I can afford to get a preview copy of the compilation from Lulu, Nice and muchly appreciated.

Sorceress of Zhaan is also back from the editors but will have to wait for layout while I paint miniatures, seems weird but that's the way it is, it's all connected, in beautiful circle of gaming life.

Rock the weekend hard Blood Reavers!

Drive Thru RPG and LoSS

You might have noticed some activity over at DriveThruRPG on the Spooky Room Productions page.
I'm in the process of uploading all the issues as separate files in their original format as I was never completely happy with the compilation file.
Since the compilation file will not be going into print (don't get me started on why) I'm going to be taking it off once all the issues have made it through the approval process.

Next up, heading over to Lulu to get all the issues set up there as pdf downloads, and maybe even getting the print versions working over there.

The Sorceress of Zhaan has also returned from the editor and will be going into layout soon, but first I have a pile of minis to paint and a huge dungeon set piece to finish up for the issue. It's coming along pretty well though. Soon...Soon....

Also off to the workshop tomorrow for some more work on the Injection molder, soon my miniature armies will be on the march!

Happy weekend my Blood Reavers!

Long time no see!

Sorry it's been so quiet the few weeks.
The injection molder took up a lot of time (Another failure, such is life, moving on to Mark IV)
Work is looking to be a little...hectic...for the next couple of months.
And not much light on the horizon. Sorry folks.

In positive news I'm just waiting for the proof copy to arrive from DriveThruRPG for the LoSS 5 issue compilation.

Once that's approved all the print copies of the game will be moving to DriveThruRpg.

I'm still debating but it may end up on Lulu as well for cheaper shipping to those folks outside of Canada and the States.

The Sorceress of Zhaan is still in the works for Issue 6 along with some supporting articles for the world of Kartharka. If room permits one or more of the free Lairs will get the fancy publishing treatment for inclusion in the book.

Have fun everyone, It's the weekend, no need to worry about work till Monday.

Sorceress of Zaan, Weekend Update.

The Sorceress of Zaan

The sorceress of Zaan adventure is growing.
I thought this would be a quickie but it grew pretty big pretty quick.
There's a lot of text in this one so I'll likely put it up as a PDF download instead of the usual page scans.
Or I may bundle it with the other freebies as the next issue, a collection of adventures for the Lair of Sword & Sorcery adventure game.

Injection Molder

I may have some more progress on the injection molder by the end of the weekend but it's a pretty tight schedule for the weekend so we'll have to wait and see.

Issues 1-5 Core compilation

The print edition of the compilation of the first five issues is taking a little while to pull together. The sorcery issue needed to be reworked for a smaller page format as well as for printing in Black and white. In black and white the full color Sorcery issue turns into a collection of various grays which are difficult to read.
I'm working through it a page at a time to get it into shape, shouldn't be too much longer.

LoSS Core Redux

Work continues on the complete Core rule book. It's still in the editors hands going through it's first reorganization. Then many many rewrites and additions. This ones' on the far far horizon.

Lulu

I've been thinking about selling the compilation and other titles through Lulu as well as DriveThruRpg, just to better serve my the fans in places other than Canada and the States.
If you'd be interested in getting your books through Lulu send me a message at spookyroomproductions@gmail.com and if I get enough requests I get that moving sooner rather than later.

Back to work for me but hope you all have an adventurous weekend my Blood Reavers!
